SOLI’s 2016-17 concert season concludes with Under the Ligurian Sun, Part II, a concert-length sneak peek of repertoire under consideration for the ensemble’s tour to Italy next spring. In last season’s Part I, the program focused on music for solo instruments from SOLI’s extensive repertoire of great American chamber music. Part II features three new ensemble works by young composers Viet Cuong, Michael Gilbertson, and Dan Visconti, and revisits a favorite 2015 SOLI commission Street Antiphons by composer Pierre Jalbert.
