The California-based franchise allows pizza lovers to build personally-made pies with toppings piled high and without restrictions from a menu. The restaurant’s pricing focuses on the size of the pie instead of its contents, so those wishing to add more flavor to their pizzas can do so without worrying about additional prices.
Pieology accommodates its vegan and vegetarian customers by offering ingredients that cater to any dietary need, making the pizzeria an inclusive choice on the River Walk. Pieology’s vegan ingredients include red sauce, Daiya cheese and gluten-free crust.
“We don’t want anyone to miss out on the Pieology experience, so we’re excited to now offer a delicious cheese that’s ideal for vegans, vegetarians and guests that are lactose-intolerant,” said Carl Chang, founder and CEO of Pieology Pizzeria via press release. “We chose Daiya’s plant-based cheese specifically because it melts, oozes and bubbles when pulled from our 800 degree stone ovens, just like regular mozzarella cheese.”
