Originally set to take place at the Six Flags Fiesta Texas parking lot on March 3 and 4, Botánica Music & Arts Festival announced that the event would scale down to one day and lose headliners like Major Lazer and Blackbear. To make up for the loss, the folks behind the fest granted ticket-buyers full access to the park and added more artists. If you’ve stuck with Botánica through the changes and controversy, because Deftones are still Deftones, then here’s a few artists you should definitely check out in between riding some rollercoasters.

Deftones
9:30-10:45pm
Main Stage 2 – Picnic Grove

Does this band really need any more introduction to our city? Probs not. You know who Chino and the boys are. Since the ’90s, we’ve been blasting their blend of distorted guitar grooves and emotive crooning so much that there probably should be a White Pony Drive somewhere.

Main Stage 1 – Lone Star Lil’s

You know Logic, bruh. He’s that rapper that wrote that song about suicide and aptly titled the track with the number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline “1-800-273-8255.” Arguably one of the biggest hip-hop acts to blow up in the past year, with his contemporary sing/rap sound, it’s not a huge surprise this guy is a headliner.

Main Stage 1 – Lone Star Lil’s

If you don’t recognize her name, you’ve most likely heard the song she did with Grammy-winning producer Zedd – “Stay.” At 577 million views on Spotify, this Canadian singer is making waves in the pop and R&B world.

Ookay (Live)
5:45-6:30pm
Main Stage 1 - Lone Star Lil’s

We recently saw Ookay up in Dallas when he rocked a set at EDM festival Lights All Night. Dude did not disappoint, and if you dig heavy-hitting, melodic EDM with all the drops to make your booty pop, then don't miss his set on the main stage.

Doja Cat
2:30-3pm
Main Stage 1 – Lone Star Lil’s

On the heels of a tour with breakout R&B singer Lizzo, Doja Cat’s swagger-laden, sultry, rap croons pair well with her poppy, dreamy trap-beats.

House of Kenzo
4-4:30pm
Stage 3 – Sundance Theatre

Local performance art collective House of Kenzo have been opening portals to other dimensions all across Texas the last few years with their punk rock blend of late ’80s NYC ballroom vogue aesthetic and ferocious performance energy. It’s safe to say that you don’t watch a House of Kenzo performance, you experience it.

Wayne Holtz
2-2:30pm
Stage 3 – Sundance Theatre

If you’re not familiar with local indie-pop artist Wayne Holtz, you really haven’t been paying attention to the local music scene. Incorporating costume changes, choreography and live musicians during his act, Holtz pays attention to the details and it reflects at every one of his performances.
