Thanks to sarcastic parents everywhere, most of us have heard that lingering stereotype about college students who already “know everything.” Pair that crusty — and grossly inaccurate — generalization with the remarkable ambition and stone-cold confidence of Millennials and Centennials, and one might ask why the Current even bothers with something like an annual College Guide. And, since the majority of the Current’s editorial staffers have long graduated, that’s a fair question — and also the reason we rely heavily on our summer interns to pitch and write what they feel are relevant stories that will hopefully resonate with students throughout San Antonio. Whether you’re new to San Antonio and looking to get acquainted with the lay of the land or an Alamo City native living away from home for the first time, we hope this year’s College Guide will assist you in one way or another, whether it’s campus-convenient watering holes to try out, wallet-friendly eateries or upcoming diversions to plug into your calendar.
