Wild Texas Film Tour

Featuring “wildlife, adventure and conservation stories” from across the Lone Star State, the 11-city Wild Texas Film Tour kicks off in San Antonio with a one-night-only screening of short films sure to “inspire viewers to engage in grassroots efforts, and increase recruitment for local conservation organizations.” The evening will be hosted by filmmaker, horse trainer and conservationist Ben Masters, who was a producer and the subject behind the documentary film Unbranded, which follows him and three other men as they journey 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada on a wild mustang drive. Masters’ short film, Water from Stone, about the Selah Bamberger Ranch in Johnson City, will screen during the tour, which is also traveling to College Station, Corpus Christi, Austin, Amarillo, Midland, Marfa, Alpine, El Paso, Dallas and Fort Worth. The tour is sponsored by YETI, Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation, Stewards of the Wild, King Land & Water, Borderlands Research Institute and Epic Provisions. As the trailer states, “[Texas] is more than a state. It’s an idea – an idea that has no boundaries – where you can set out walking and never stop.”
