Hike the evergreen woodland and deciduous forest trails of Government Canyon with naturalist Ranger Carl Green — you’ll learn about the understory trees and shrubs so important to the ecology of the State Natural Area. Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring water and a snack. $6 park fee, 9am-Noon, Government Canyon SNA, 12861 Galm Rd. Reservations reqd. at (210) 688-9055.
