The Killers of Comedy

Posted on Wed, Apr 23, 2008 at 4:00 AM

Release Date: 2008-04-23

With a bill of comics made famous by Howard Stern and introduced to the Alamo City by Kidd Chris on the airwaves of the now-defunct 102.7 KROCK, The Killers of Comedy show promises an outrageous dose of hardcore East Coast comedy. The all-star lineup includes The Reverend Bob Levy, once dubbed the “World’s Meanest Listener” who’s blunt, over the line, and politically incorrect, unrivaled in his irreverent brand of off-the-cuff humor. Levy is joined by Sal Governale, known for his crank calls akin to the Jerky Boys; Yucko the Clown, who wears an unwashed clown suit and honks a horn every time he tells a bad joke; and Shuli, a Jon Stewart-esque daily Stern reporter. “Wack packer” Beetlejuice and former pro-wrestler The Iron Sheik make special appearances. $25, 9 & 11 pm, The Venue, 800 Lexington, (210) 732-7440.
