Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin, and Damien Echols (pictured left to right) were arrested as teens in the spring of 1993 and convicted of killing three 8-year-old boys. The trial, featuring testimony about satanic rituals and heavy-metal music, led to a swift conviction. However, the case has been the subject of various books and documentaries due to a large number of doubters who hold that there was never any forensic evidence linking the defendants to the crime. New DNA evidence supporting their cause will be examined in a September hearing, and WM3 supporters are fundraising to mount the best possible defense. The benefit show features Top Dead Center, Desdemona, So Unloved, Jar of Flies, and more. $7, 6pm, Rock Bottom, 1033 Ave. B, The Warhol, 1011 Ave. B, myspace.com/wm3sa.
