San Antonio’s first major Japanese Culture and Anime convention opens its doors this weekend, and visitors are expected to show up in droves for the three-day affair. Swedish bubblegum-pop group Smile.dk headlines the list of musical guests, while the convention includes appearances by voice actors, panels by industry specialists, Japanese art demonstrations, gaming tournaments, several dances, a video-game arcade, costume contests, and more.
