Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Commemoration

Each year on the third Monday in January, educational, inspirational, and celebratory events honor revered civil rights leader Martin Luther King. San Antonio hosts the largest march in the U.S., which has grown to more than 100,000 strong as people from all walks of life gather at Freedom Bridge for a three-mile trek in honor of Dr. King. The march begins at 10am at the MLK Freedom Bridge, 3500 MLK Dr., and ends at Pittman-Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa. Info: sanantonio.gov/mlk.
