Sketching in SAMA's Galleries

Posted on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 4:00 AM

Release Date: 2009-01-28

Lloyd Walsh is taking over SAMA! Well, not really … and not permanently. But Renaissance Man Walsh — Palo Alto instructor; Exploding Sex Kitten; motorcycle and scooter hobbyist; and everybody’s fave painter of (among many other inspired subjects) cigarette-smoking lemurs — will hold court every Tuesday in February in a SAMA gallery of his choosing. There he will select an artwork and sketch furiously, and so will you. Part workshop, part entertainment (we’d go just to watch him!), this series is sure to sharpen your observation and drawing skills. Some materials will be provided, but it’s recommended that you BYO … S (for sketchbook). Free, 6-8pm, San Antonio Museum of Art, 200 W. Jones, (210) 978-8100,
