Miasma

Posted on Wed, Mar 11, 2009 at 4:00 AM

Release Date: 2009-03-11

Well, you already missed the First Friday opening reception for Beili Liu’s one-woman, site-specific installation, “Miasma,” at Three Walls Gallery in the Blue Star complex. But the good news is, you can ring up gallerist/artist Michele Monseau and make your own event of seeing it — either with a pal, or all on your lonesome. This is likely the best way to experience Liu’s strongly feminine, soulfully abstract work anyhow; with a keen sense of space and an unprecedented feeling for her various accouterments (which include everything from needles and thread to digitized sound) Liu creates powerful sculptural biospheres that make a mystery of the material world. Through March 27. Call for an appointment, (210) 219-1562.
