Wine to Wildlife Festival

Release Date: 2009-11-24

To celebrate its one-year anniversary, the luxuriously casual Serengeti Resort is pulling out all the stops with a two-day Wine to Wildlife Festival. Here’s a potential scenario: While that man of yours watches televised sports (beer in hand) in the Serengeti’s cozy Tiki Lounge, you and your gal pals browse the unique holiday shopping trails and sample haute Hill Country cuisine and wines from all over the world (each adult pass includes five food and wine pairings). As if this doesn’t already sound like a perfect way to spend Black Friday, there’s also a friendly herd of free-roaming zebras and giraffes that love to be fed and photographed and an intimate evening performance by country crooner Collin Raye. Day pass: 11am-6pm, $20; concert: 7pm, $30. The Serengeti Resort, 408 Fuller Dr., Bergheim, TX, (830) 816-5280, for tickets visit serengetiresort.com.
