When a special nutrient designed to increase the size of food-producing animals gets way out of hand, a massive bloodthirsty tarantula stages a terror attack on a sleepy desert town — and nothing short of a napalm attack will stop the madness. Trick photography and deadpan acting aside, Jack Arnold’s campy 1955 sci-fi classic Tarantula is well worth watching for the surprise appearance of a jet pilot played by a 25-year-old Clint Eastwood.
