Sol y Canto & Sweet Plantain String Quartet

Although it’s not tied to Fiesta, pan-Latin ensemble Sol y Canto’s signature program Sabor y Memoria: A Musical Feast in Seven Courses couldn’t serve SA at a better time. With support from Latin fusion ensemble Sweet Plantain String Quartet (the mission of which is to “give voice to a contemporary, urban, and Latino sound”), Sol y Canto ? whose members hail from Uruguay, Argentina, Panamá, and Perú ? offers concertgoers a “multi-sensory mix of music, images, and flavors” inspired by memory, nostalgia, and Latin food.
