San Antonio, Texas Punk Rock Archive 1986-1989

Posted By on Sat, Sep 24, 2011 at 1:38 PM

I was just a tween back in 1986. My favorite movie was Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and for my brother it was Top Gun. Together we watched reruns of the Cosby Show and Growing Pains. Thanks to my parents we were exposed early on to everything from David Bowie to Kiss. My mother loved Prince. Still does today. My brother and I were both too young for the thriving San Antonio Punk scene. By the time we hit the strip on St. Mary's the late eighties were coming to an end. In preparation for the 25th Anniversary Party of the San Antonio Current browse through the San Antonio Punk Archives. See everyone tonight :) Follow #satx and #current25 on twitter for updates and pics from the party.
