The affected area is generally north of 1604 and west of Hwy 281 in and around the Stone Oak subdivision, according to SAWS.
If you live near the Stone Oak area, don't water your lawn.
The San Antonio Water System announced today crews are making emergency repairs on the primary water pipeline to the Stone Oak area because of a mechanical malfunction.
According to SAWS, an emergency (and new) pipeline is providing water to the area.
And in order for that to continue to work, residents must discontinue outdoor water use and turn off irrigation systems, and that means everyone from businesses to residential dwellings.
A SAWS news release states that "intensive work" is ongoing and the assistance of customers is needed to curb the problem. SAWS said specific areas include The Vineyard, Sonterra and Greyston, but all of Stone Oak is urged to turn off the hose and not water any lawns until further notice.
