Remember our post on the potential 'Selena Quintanilla for MAC' collection in the works? (If not, read it here

Just months ago, fans of the Selena came together and created an online petition on change.org to have MAC Cosmetics dedicate a limited edition collection to the late Tejano singer.

Since then, the survey, which originally had a goal of collecting 5,000 signatures, has far surpassed expectations, reaching over 30,000! But is this really a huge surprise? "Anything for Selenas," after all.

Late in February, MAC responded to the petition, stating:

"The loyalty and enthusiasm of Selena's fans are clearly evident and we love this. MAC admires the passion and joy Selena brought to the world. She was an amazing person with amazing talent. We consider all types of feedback like this as we plan our collaborations."

Now it's being reported that MAC was so impressed by the response to the survey, as well as the fan-based social media campaign #SelenaQuintanillaforMAC, that they have actually reached out to Selena's sister, Suzette Quintanilla, about the possibility of getting this limited edition line in the works.

So Selena fans, keep signing and hashtagging: Let's make this happen.
