Free Wi-Fi, free 3D printer demonstration, free recording studio, and free green screen demonstration: San Antonio Central Library offers one of the most innovative learning opportunities of the decade.

Tuesday, May 12 at 10:30 am on the third floor of the San Antonio Central Library (600 Soledad St.), Councilman Roberto Treviño and Ramiro Salazar, director of the San Antonio Public Library, will open the New Teen Library.

San Antonio Central Library kicked off the celebration of their 20th anniversary with a brand-new 6,000 square foot space offering youth an upgrade from outdated educational tools to advanced technology expertise for their future.

Led by professional library staff, teens will enjoy out-of-school learning opportunities to engage in a variety of cutting-edge activities specifically geared to prepare teens for college and employment, according to a Central Library press release.

Staff will be available to help with blogging, podcast, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) materials, and many emerging technologies, all to be featured on their SAPL Teen Blog.

The new teen library delivers a giant advantage for San Antonio’s youth stepping into the ever-changing technological environment today.
