Houston Station Publishes Fake Photo From 'Jurassic Park' To Illustrate Real Floods

Sure, the Memorial Day floods that have devastated much of Texas are bad, but they aren't "nature finds a way" bad. In their quest for pageviews, Houston news station KHOU put up a gallery of viewer-submitted photos of this past weekend's heavy rains and subsequent deluge. One viewer decided to have a little fun with the station's call for user-generated content by sneaking in a photo from the original Jurassic Park into their online gallery. Everyone point and laugh and then contemplate the dangers of social media as a breaking news-gathering source.

As anyone who is alive knows, this is a still from the original movie right before the part where Dennis Nedry gets spit on, then devoured by a Dilophosaurus, putting a stop to his plans to sneak the dinosaur embryos off of Isla Nublar. Here's the scene in case you don't know what we are talking about.

In other news, Jurassic World arrives in theaters on June 12.
