Looks like it's time to put that sweet app idea you've been sitting on into motion and move on out of your parents' basement.

San Antonio's collaborative hub Geekdom is invites creative minds from all over the city to participate in 3 Day Startup, a hands-on crash course on what it takes to run a successful startup company. The program does not require that students come already prepared with their own startup ideas, as the first day is dedicated to the brainstorming process.

The rest of the program is a combination of surveying potential customers, gathering feedback, and building a business model, all with the help of experienced mentors. By the end of 3 Day, students will have a finalized business pitch prepared to present to a panel of investors.

The program is free to anyone who is accepted. Food, drinks and coffee will be are provided all three days, and sleep is completely optional. If you want to catch a few minutes of shut eye, though, you are welcome to bring a sleeping bag or even go home to rest at night. The deadline to apply for 3 Day is June 3rd.
