Authorities in San Antonio are investigating a grisly discovery made this weekend: a headless and handless body found burning in a dumpster.

A resident at an apartment complex on the 2300 block of Goliad Road thought a trash bag was burning at around midnight on Sunday morning, but when they tried to extinguish the fire they realized there was a body in it, Kens5 reports. Investigators told the television station that it's too early to even know the gender or age of the corpse.

We've reached out to the San Antonio Police Department to see if investigators have been able to identify the deceased or whether they have any leads as to how the decapitated body ended up on fire in the dumpster. We'll update when we have more information.
