San Antonio can expect to see heavy rainfall Monday night, with up to 7 inches of rain in some areas due to an upper-level disturbance and a slow-moving cold front that will cause widespread showers.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch until 7 a.m. Tuesday and expects the heaviest rainfall between 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday morning, with 1-3 inches of rain in the Hill Country. Flash flooding is also expected across area roadways, underpasses and low lying areas.

NWS reports that isolated thunderstorms will continue through Friday with the slight possibility of hail and winds reaching up to 60 mph.
