Update at 9:27 am, Monday:
President Trump had the following to say about the shooting during a press conference in Tokyo. You can read more about his statements here.

Original post below, 5:43 pm Sunday:

Around 11:30 Sunday morning, a man named Devin Patrick Kelley walked into the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs and began shooting. The small town church usually has around 50 church members at that service.

During the last count, 27 of those individuals are now dead, with dozens of other men, women and children injured and receiving treatment at medical facilities in San Antonio and Floresville.

Since the news broke, elected officials have taken to Twitter to give their condolences and, as many do following a domestic terrorist attack, send their prayers to those affected by the shooting.

President Donald Trump, as always, took to Twitter as well.

First Lady Melania Trump followed suit.

The president often visits survivors of attacks and the families of the victims. There hasn't been any word as to whether Trump, who is currently on a 12-day tour throughout Asia, plans to make a trip to Texas to do just that.

This is a developing news story. We will continue to update this post and our website as information becomes available.
