Tim Duncan is the gift that keeps on giving – literally. He promised to match  donations up to $500,000 that go toward the San Antonio Food Bank.

After months of fundraising and rebuilding on the ground in the U.S. Virgin Islands following a particularly nasty hurricane season, Duncan is giving back in his adopted home.

His matching challenge will help feed San Antonio families in need during the holidays. For every dollar donated to the food bank, the retired basketball star (miss you, Timmy) will donate $2. That means your donation is basically tripled.

The inspiration behind the matching challenge was seeing local charities help out with hurricane relief efforts earlier this year. He said the challenge will be an easy way for San Antonians to give back, a feeling he's discovered that he enjoys.

And get this – those who donate $21 or more (that amount will provide 441 meals) will get a holiday card from The Big Fundamental himself. Timmy promised the first 10 donors who gave $2,100 or more would get an autographed championship hat, which of course has already been surpassed.
