A teenage girl allegedly broke into a man's apartment in Austin and stabbed the man's girlfriend in the eye and face multiple times, saying she has a "fatal attraction."

According to an affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman, 17-year-old Taneese Mackey entered the East Austin apartment on January 13. The man heard a "loud commotion" before his girlfriend and Mackey began arguing, according to the affidavit. The pair reportedly got into a physical altercation before Mackey stabbed the girlfriend in the face with scissors.

The girlfriend "sustained multiple stab wounds to the face and to one of her eyes," according to the Austin American-Statesman. She reportedly received 22 staples to close a 9-inch cut on her scalp.

The victim will lose her right eye, according to the affidavit. Police said it's likely the victim will lose her left eye as well due to the amount of bleeding and the pressure in the back of her eye.

The newspaper reports that the Austin Police Department interviewed the victim on Friday. The woman reportedly told police that Mackey told her boyfriend, "Whoever you got here, I am gonna get her." According to the affidavit, the victim said her boyfriend questioned why Mackey would do that, to which Mackey allegedly replied, "I have a fatal attraction." It's unclear whether the "fatal attraction" is to the man or the victim.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, the man told police he's known Mackey for 17 years, essentially her entire life. There are multiple reports in the APD database involving Mackey and the man, according to Austin's KVUE. Austin's KVUE reports that the victim heard her boyfriend refer to her attacker as "Ashley Mackey." There were not further details as to why he would refer to Mackey as "Ashley."

Austin police issued a warrant for Mackey's arrest on Tuesday, according to the Austin American-Statesman. The teenager will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. If convicted, she may face a maximum of 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. At the time of publication, Mackey was not listed as being in custody in Travis County Jail.
