Anyone who's muddled through crowds of clueless conventioneers downtown knows San Antonio is a hotspot for business travel. But is it a star on an international stage like Las Vegas or Singapore?

Absolutely, according to one study.

Taco Town ranked 7th best in the world for business trips in a new report by website FitSmallBusiness.com, beating out Vegas, which at No. 9 was the only other U.S. city to crack the top 10. Bangkok topped the list.

The business advice site ranked cities worldwide on availability of hotels, rooms and flights, plus air travel accuracy and an array of costs. With nearly 37,000 rooms at 275 hotels, S.A. scored especially high in accommodations.

The study also points out that top-ranked cities stand to rake in even more loot as global business travel expands to $1.6 trillion by 2020, up from $1.2 trillion in 2015. (Although it's questionable how much of that ends up in workers' pockets.)

The upshot for San Antonio? Get ready for more of those clueless conventioneers.
