The driver of a Mercedes Benz that was pushed by an 18-wheeler truck on I-35 last month is now suing the local trucking company and the driver involved in the incident.

Leon Morris is seeking monetary relief for the incident in which he says he's not at fault. The 58-year-old San Antonio man is alleging that Raymond Morales, the driver of the truck, is the one to blame.

The wild incident was caught on camera in snippets and was shared on Facebook. While the sound from the crash was loud and apparent to social-media users, police say the difference in the vehicles caused Morales to not realize he was pushing the car and continue driving. Police said there were no indications the incident was due to road rage nor was it intentional.

Instead, police chalked it up to "driver inattention."

Meanwhile, Adrian Lopez, the witness who recorded the crash, told KENS 5 that it appeared that Morris was at fault. Morris, however, wants to leave it up to a jury. He's seeking $1 million in damages, alleging he suffered "severe injuries" while police initially said he only sustained minor injuries.

His attorneys will argue that Morales made an unsafe lane change since he was distracted, speeding and didn't brake to avoid hitting the Mercedes.
