Oops, they did it again.

A Southside refinery with a history of fuel spills has once again slopped chemical stuff where it shouldn't aughta be.

Calumet Specialty Products on Thursday spilled about 50 gallons of fuel into the San Antonio River, according to a statement by the San Antonio Office of Emergency Management. Its report described the spilled material as Naptha, "a flammable liquid hydrocarbon mixture."

The 64-year-old refinery — located near the popular Mission Reach and the city's World Heritage Site Spanish missions — in 2014 faced public ire for two fuel spills within weeks of each other. It's also tangled with the San Antonio River Authority in and out of court.

According to Emergency Management's statement, Calumet workers used containment booms to keep the fuel from spreading downstream and remove the threat to wildlife. But needless to say, the cleanup probably will require more than a pool skimmer and roll of Bounty paper towels.
