San Antonio Teen Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Elderly Man with Car During Robbery

A San Antonio teen as been arrested after police say he robbed an elderly man and ran him over.

Johntavion Souders was arrested Sunday for his part in the aggravated robbery of a 74-year-old man. Police said that Souders, 17, and another male approached the victim at Oak Manor Apartments on Austin Highway days earlier, according to KENS 5. Surveillance video shows Souders getting into the victim's car while his accomplice sat in the passenger's seat.

The victim attempted to stop the robbery, but police said Souders reversed the vehicle and struck him. The man was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with serious injuries, per a KSAT report. Due to the extent of his injuries, the victim was unable to tell police any details about the the suspects.

However, witnesses were able to help identify Souders, who was then arrested. He is charged with aggravated robbery and possession of marijuana. The teenager is currently being held on bond.
