Texas Accent Named Sexiest U.S. Accent in Study by Travel Website

The U.S. is full of a diverse array of dialects, some sensual and others, well, kinda irritating. Fortunately, the Texas drawl lands solidly in the former camp.

In a new study from Big Seven Media's travel website, the Texan accent was ranked the sexiest accent in all of the good ol' U.S. of A. The study gauged responses from the website's audience of 1.5 million users, meaning a whole lot of folks agree at our drawn-out diction and dropped "g" sounds are pretty dang steamy.

Here's what the website had to say about the Lone Star State's dialect:
Who can resist a slow, Texan drawl? Not us, and not our community, clearly. The typical Texan accent is a “Southern accent with a twist”, with strong ‘r’s and plenty of ‘Howdy’s’. America’s sexiest accent? We’d have to agree.
Well, shee-it! They done made us blush.

Even if you don't drop "howdy" into your daily conversations, be sure to stress your "y'all"s when traveling out-of-state. Who knows, you just might turn some heads.
