After four hours of deliberation Tuesday night, a Bexar County jury sentenced Texas hip-hop artist Taymor “Tay-K” or ” Tay-K 47″ McIntyre to 80 years in prison for the 2017 shooting death of a San Antonio photographer, the Express-News reports.

The jury found McIntyre, 24, guilty of murder in the death of Mark Anthony Saldivar, which could have carried a life sentence, according to the daily. However, jurors didn’t find him guilty of the more serious charge of capital murder sought by prosecutors.

McIntyre — who had minor hit in 2017 with the single “The Race” — was accused of shooting Saldivar on a street near North Star Mall while trying to rob him of his camera equipment. Saldivar had asked to shoot photos of the rapper, who was 16 at the time, the Express-News reports.

At the time of his sentencing in Bexar County, McIntyre was already serving 55 years on another murder conviction, the daily reports. In that case, McIntyre was found guilty of slaying 21-year-old Ethan Walker in a Tarrant County home invasion.

During sentencing, District Judge Stephanie Boyd ruled that McIntyre will serve his prison sentences in Tarrant and Bexar County concurrently, the Express-News reports.
