Mississippi-based sandwich chain Newk’s Eatery plans to open six to 10 locations in San Antonio over the next five years, company officials said.
Newk’s currently has 10 Texas locations and could build 50 more, according to details shared by the company. The six new restaurants would be its first in the Alamo City.
“With six company-owned stores already operating, Newk’s is seeking to partner with local entrepreneurs to help build out its presence in Texas,” a company spokesperson said.
Newk’s was founded in 2005 in Oxford, Mississippi, and was named a “Top 10 New Restaurant Concept” by Restaurant Chains Magazine in 2008.
