San Antonio’s InterContinental Hotel hosting posh Pride Pool Party

Cue the weird, unsettling yodeling.

Here’s a chance to live your White Lotus fantasy with a posh — and very gay — pool party at the InterContinental on San Antonio’s Riverwalk.

The hotel’s High Pride Pool Party, which will take place on Saturday, June 29, promises to close out Pride Month in style with specialty food, drinks, DJ-ed tunes and other fun in the sun, according InterContinental officials. Tickets are $60 for exclusive access to the rooftop pool and the High Praise Rooftop Bar.

The curated menu will include a colorful array of specialty cocktails to go with the rainbow occasion. Specialty food will include a mini-brisket arepa, a classic savory Venezuelan snack featuring slow-braised beef in a cornmeal cake served with salsa verde. The menu also includes burgers and a giant cookie with ice cream. Food and drink isn’t included with the price of admission.

Feel-good music will be provided by DJ Tone. Can we put in our request now for this EDM remix of Jennifer Coolidge’s “These gays are trying to murder me” comment from the aforementioned White Lotus? And before you ask, yes, there’s one of Parker Posey too.

For those who really want to feel their White Lotus fantasy — and perhaps have done enough shady dealings to afford it — entire cabanas can also be reserved through OpenTable.

“The celebration is perfect for those looking to get sun-drenched and party unapologetically and proudly,” InterContinental officials said in an email release.

We don’t recommend taking the White Lotus thing too literally though. The hotel wants everyone to survive the affair.
