San Antonio composer Nathan Felix is known for his immersive and experimental operas, and his latest at the Radius Center looks to be a doozy.

Following a beloved Latina pop singer who’s brutally attacked by an obsessed fan and ultimately seeks revenge, Felix’s Glory Gone echoes the tragic and untimely death of Selena, the martyred Queen of Tejano, who was murdered by her own fan club leader 30 years ago.

Felix’s works are heightened and intense, almost hallucinogenic at times, and Glory Gone presents a special opportunity to see cutting-edge music in San Antonio.

Like a flash mob, performers will weave their way through the Radius Center and the audience, erasing divisions between stage, performer and observer.

Free but donations welcome, 7 p.m. Saturday, March 1, Radius Center, 106 Auditorium Circle #120, (512) 731-0314, radiuscenter.org.
