A Texas Republican Congressman has introduced legislation to put the face of the Dear Orange Leader … erm … President Donald Trump on the $100 bill.

Nothing says “liberal democracy” quite like putting a living commander-in-chief’s likeness on the nation’s currency, eh?

First-term U.S. Rep. Brandon Gil, R-Flower Mound, on Monday introduced the Golden Age Act of 2025, which would slap Trump’s mug on the $100 bill as soon as 2029.

“There has been no one who has done more to bring America into the golden age than President Trump,” Gil said in a statement. “Featuring him on the $100 bill is a small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years.”

Gil’s legislation, if passed, would require the Treasury Secretary to release a preliminary design of the Trump currency no later the end of 2026. The proposal, co-sponsored by East Texas Republican U.S. Rep. Troy Nehls, refers to Trump’s own claim that he’ll usher in a “Golden Age” of American prosperity.

The “Golden Age” bill was filed a day before stocks plummeted following Trump’s decision to levy 25% tariffs on Canadian and Mexican imports. Economists also warn that layoffs carried out by Trump donor Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency threaten to roil the housing market.
