Indoor mini-golf chain Holey Moley will open its first San Antonio location Friday at the Shops at Rivercenter, according to company officials.

Holey Moley is known for themed, neon-lit courses designed to evoke feelings of nostalgia. Its 12,000-square-foot Alamo City location will feature three 9-hole mini-golf courses, two karaoke rooms, a full bar and restaurant dubbed the Caddy Shack. Patrons also will have access to alfresco River Walk seating.

The location’s themed holes include one that invokes a journey through a vintage tape collection, another where players try to escape a wind vortex and yet another where putters must evade a spinning Ferris wheel.

Holey Moley’s parent company, Australian-based FunLab, currently operates four other U.S. locations: Austin, Denver, Houston and San Francisco.

“The city has an incredible energy, and we’re thrilled to be part of the vibrant Rivercenter community,” Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber said in a statement. “Holey Moley is all about creating moments of joy and unforgettable fun, and we can’t wait to share that with everyone.”

Something unique to the San Antonio location is the introduction of the Caddy Shack’s Big Texas — a frozen slushie featuring Big Red, cream soda and vanilla with a splash of Tito’s vodka. The in-house restaurant also will feature Lone Star State flavors including taco salads and fries topped with barbecue brisket.

The new Holey Moley location also will offer 500 square feet of event space for those looking to book special events such as holiday parties.

Tee times will run $20-$26 for adults and $20-$24 those under 21. Those under the legal drinking age aren’t allowed in the venue after 8 p.m. Tee times are available now at the company’s website.
