Word of Mouth is a kind of sporadically occurring, grassroots showcase/celebration of music, art, dance, and poetry. It’s the type of event that offers a little bit for everyone and then some, all the while fostering goodwill and communication between far-flung elements of the local scene(s).
At this weekend’s incarnation of Word of Mouth, an eclectic live music lineup will offer up the talents Dolphin Dilemma (local, trippy and danceable: a dude with a looper and mini-synth), Elnuh (local, effervescent grunge pop with melodic sense to spare), and Ion (local, hypnagogic dream-pop with just enough rock edge), and Dome Dwellers (Denton-based band that melds psychedelic math rock with danceable indie pop).
We are also looking forward to catching dancing from Loz Zombiez, a poetry reading from slam poet Rayner Shine, and art from Jagwired Art, Erik Ybarra, and many more.
