Comedian Hannibal Buress playing pop-up show at San Antonio’s Paper Tiger this Monday

Comedian Hannibal Buress will perform a not-so-secret show at San Antonio’s Paper Tiger tonight as a stop on his pop-up tour of the United States, announced a little over a week ago.

The performance begins at 8 p.m., details on Buress’ Instagram reveal. Tickets are still available but running low, according to a Sunday evening post by the venue.
Known as a fixture of The Eric André Show, Buress stepped away from André’s chaos comedy in 2023 after serving as his sidekick for more than a decade. Buress also appeared in a recurring role as a pediatric dentist on the hit TV show Broad City.

Early in his career, Buress established a reputation for saying what needs to be said. He was famously one of the first in show business to accuse Bill Cosby of rape, long before grisly details came to light in the public forum.

As with musician Jack White’s pop-up tour last fall, which also stopped at the Paper Tiger, Buress has been secretive about stops on this road jaunt. The tour poster lists cities but not venues, and San Antonio isn’t even included on the list.

The Paper Tiger show was announced last week, but the venue didn’t include a time. However, Buress includes it in his Instagram stories.

Hannibal Buress performed at the Paper Tiger in 2016, and it sold out last time according to the club, which ended up adding a second show. 

It’s not too late to snatch those tickets for this pop-up though.
