A San Antonio tattoo parlor is now offering to babysit children and keep them entertained while their parents get inked up.

Nite Owl Tattoo Studio, 7121 W. U.S. Highway 90, Suite 230, announced in a Saturday Facebook post that it’s the first studio in San Antonio to offer on-site daycare.

“We know one of the biggest challenges for parents is finding time (and a sitter) to get the tattoo you’ve been dreaming of,” the Facebook post said. “Well … we’ve got covered.”

According to a Facebook ad for Nite Owl’s new day care services, children will hang out in a private, monitored, kid-friendly room while their parents go under the gun. Once there, kids will watch movies, participate in art and crafts and even get their own temporary tattoos.

What’s more, Nite Owl said in its post that it’s now accepting buy-now-pay-later services, including Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay from folks wanting new tattoos but are short on cash.

“Breaking down every barrier so you can get the ink you deserve,” Nite Owl said in its post.

Those in the studio’s comment section were thrilled about the new babysitting service, which is only available by appointment.

“This is actually so cool,” Facebook user Shayla Tomczyk commented. “As a stay-at-home mom, this makes it easier for sure.”

San Antonio resident Cassandra Nicole Rodriguez agreed.

“I was very thankful whenever I got my tattoo [in] December, and they gladly let my daughter come with me,” she wrote.

Perhaps it should be no surprise a San Antonio tattoo parlor would be on the cutting edge by offering day care services. A study published last year by German studio LL Tattoo ranked the Alamo City as the nation’s best place to get tattooed based on the positive online reviews of its shops.
