We don’t just dance just to have a good time. The art form plays a significant role in representation and expression of tradition and culture.

For 68 years, Fiesta Noche del Rio has celebrated San Antonio’s unique cultural blend with song, dance and musical ensembles rooted in the rich history of Mexico. On the stage of the River Walk’s Arneson River Theatre this Friday and Saturday, performers in Fiesta Noche del Rio will put their hearts and souls into each graceful step celebrating those cultural ties.

This year, the dance presentation includes Alegría, Paso Doble, Bachata and Salsa accompanied by the musical talents of Alejandro Antonio and Mariachi Gallos de Oro.

Proceeds benefit the Alamo Kiwanis Club Charities.

$20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $8 for children over 6 and free for those under, 8:30-10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1-Saturday, Aug. 2, Arneson River Theatre, 418 Villita St., alamo-kiwanis.org.
