Pop megastar the Weeknd dazzled his Alamodome audience Wednesday with a visually striking performance that packed an astounding 40-plus songs into one marathon concert.
The Canadian R&B singer’s impressive stage set included multiple nods to post-apocalyptic science fiction, and his entry surrounded by masked dancers draped in red showed his eagerness to deliver a big, breathtaking show. The packed crowd was clearly ready for just that kind of spectacle — and for the infectious music the hitmaker had no trouble delivering in his soaring falsetto.
