David Crabb: Bad Kid

Boiled down to a sound bite, New York-based performer/writer/storyteller David Crabb’s Bad Kid is about growing up goth and gay in ‘90s-era Texas. Based on his New York Times-approved one-man show of the same name, the memoir follows Crabb on a journey that involves getting caught up with freaks, experimenting with drugs, idolizing The Smiths and coming out amid a vivid cast of characters. Beyond his theatrical and literary success, the San Antonio native is a two-time winner of The Moth Storytelling Slam and mentors veterans in conjunction with the Writers Guild Initiative and Wounded Warrior Project.
