
Tired of the Texican/Tejano bifurcation of everything local? You know there’s more. This weekend the 40th Anniversary Texas Folklife Festival makes the point with a weekend of music, dance, arts & crafts, and, yes, food from a panoply of cultural groups that make up the big story this side of the Rio Grande. Japanese Texans? Yep. Germans? Of course, and many more will celebrate their immigrant roots in a blast of ethnicity that reminds us we’re all a little bit something — just another other, and all welcome to the table. As the feller said, multi-culti to the max and family-friendly, too.
