The San Antonio Spurs have introduced a subscription service allowing fans to secure home-game tickets.

For $49 a month, fans of the Silver and Black can get guaranteed tickets to three games in November, December, January and March, team officials said Friday. Subscribers will be able to choose which select games they want to attend.

It’s worth noting that the tickets are only available for balcony seats at the Frost Bank Center. However, fans can upgrade seats and add on guest tickets for certain games with an additional charge.

While subscriptions have proliferated for services ranging from online digital content to home meal deliveries, the Spurs appear to be the first NBA team to jump on the trend for select regular season games.

More information about claiming tickets, guests, upgrades, seat location and payment methods are available by downloading the Official Spurs Mobile App or texting “SPURSCRIPTION” to (210) 444-5940, according to the team.

The 2-3 Spurs next take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. Saturday. For that game, the Silver and Black also will celebrate Dia de Los Muertos and Hispanic Heritage Month.
