The Mexican Men’s National football team will return to San Antonio’s Alamodome this fall for a matchup against Paraguay in a preview of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in 16 cities across North America.

The matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 will be the last chance for Team Mexico fans to watch the team before the World Cup, and is the first time Mexico will return to the Alamodome since a 2019 matchup against Argentina.

Folks can purchase tickets to the highly anticipated match starting at 10 a.m. Central on Monday, Sept. 22, online at the SomosLocales website

The Mexican Team’s stop in the Alamo City is part of the squad’s MexTour, which has stopped in six U.S. cities this year.

Team Mexico’s match in San Antonio against Paraguay, which also earned a spot in the 2026 World Cup earlier this month, is also during the November international FIFA window. That means that both countries get to bring their full-strength squads.

Mexico is powered by AC Milan forward Santiago Gimenez and Fulham striker Raul Jimenez. Meanwhile, Paraguay is led by Atlanta United forward Miguel Almirón, Strasbourg scorer Julio Enciso and Palmeiras center back Gustavo Gómez.

In the 21 matches where both teams faced each other, Mexico has the upper hand with 11 wins and five draws.

FIFA ranks Mexico as the world’s 13th best team, while Paraguay ranks at No. 43.
