You can buy a new sixer at your local beer depot this spring.
Alamo Beer Company has added the new seasonal Alamo Maibock to its portfolio.
Though the Maibock has been available since the brewery opened last March, the company is just now making it available in bottles and kegs for retail.
A cross between a traditional bock and a Munich Helles, Alamo's Maibock is made with pilsner and Munich malts along with Herzbrucker hops. The result is a strong Bavarian-style brew with notes of sweet toffee and caramel. It sits at a 6.9 percent AB and relatively low IBU (22) so it won't wreck your evening or your palate.
Look for the Maibock on shelves with Alamo's Golden Ale, Pilsner and Amber beers this summer.
