Alamo Heights Is Getting a New Bubble Tea Shop

Bubble tea lovers will have a new spot to choose from beginning next month.  Brew's Lee Tea Station, which will be located on Broadway near the Witte Museum, is under construction but is set to be completed within the next two weeks.

Owner Frances Lee said in an email that the shop will have a soft opening in mid-October, though some Yelp reviewers have already been able to taste some teas for themselves.
Lee said she and her husband Billy chose to set up shop in San Antonio, and on Broadway no less, for its proximity to the University of Incarnate Word, their alma mater.

She said she and her husband spent time in Taiwan, where he is from, after graduating and learned all about authentic bubble tea. They got information from tea experts and researched brewing techniques, ultimately deciding to bring the treat back to San Antonio.

"We consider San Antonio our home," Lee said.

Lee said the shop will offer classic black milk tea and Jasmine green milk tea beverages as well as unique creations like honey galaxy and lemon unicorn with bright colors and tasty flavors. Tea lovers will be able to experience the best of both worlds with split cups from Taiwan that let you enjoy two flavors at once.

"We are passionate about teas," Lee wrote. "I believe our brews reflect that."
