Ocho mojito via
Margaritas reign in a city rich with Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. Today, for this national holiday we’re honoring this libation that may not get as much play as it’s tequila brimmed counterpart. We’ve rounded up a few places to get your mojito sip on:
The Fruteria (1401 S Flores) has it’s mojito in the form of Moji-Mex with muddled lime and mint leaves, rum and grapefruit soda.
Atomar Bar at Ácenar (146 E Houston) serves four mojitos including the standard lime mojito and a melon mojito with light rum, a blood orange mojito with blood orang puree and the 10 Cane mojito with 10 Cane rum.
Ocho (1015 Navarro) mixes up a classic mojito with Bacardi Silver, mint, lime and soda.
Zinc Bistro and Bar (207 N Presa) specializes in a 10 Cane mojito with lime and sugar.
El 7 Mares Seafood Restaurant (3831 W Commerce) serves a classic mojito with Bacardi blanco with mint and sugar.
La Fonda on Main (2415 Main) offers top-shelf Mexican cocktails including the standard mojito.
Urban Taco berry mojito via
Urban Taco (209 E Basse) serves a blueberry, mango and coconut mojito with fresh fruit, lime juice and Topo Chico.
Paloma Blanca (5800 Broadway) has an ’09 mojito with Cruzan rum, lime, mint and an option to add flavor mango, guava, coconut or raspberry.
La Gloria (100 E Grayson) sticks to the classics with a simple ‘jito made with lime and light rum.
Silo Elevated Cuisine (multiple locations) has two mojitos on their cocktails list. One is the mojitos refrescos with simple syrup and and Bacardi Superior. The other is the raspberry mojito with raspberries and Malibu rum.
