Family-owned restaurant Grandma’s Greek Taste is taking over the former Pinch Boil House location at 5130 Broadway.

The Current confirmed the news with Grandma’s Greek Taste co-founder Saimir Pllana, who’s opening the restaurant with his wife in the same strip mall that’s home to The Winchester Pub and Sorrento Pizza and Restaurant. The owners plan to begin serving by early July but haven’t yet set a grand opening date.

Grandma’s Greek Taste hasn’t yet released a menu, but the restaurant team is sharing snaps of its Greek-inspired items on social media channels — from a delicious double pita inspired by “our grandma’s recipe” to chicken kabobs with tzatziki.

The new eatery will join San Antonio’s growing list of family-owned Greek eatries, including Mina & Dimi’s Greek House near Lackland and John the Greek on San Pedro Avenue.

Pinch Boil House, a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant owned by Curry Boys BBQ co-founders Sean Wen and Andrew Ho, closed in April after a nine-year run.
